Playmaker builds a personalized web page for a specific sales prospect. Two different kinds of people touch it, and they are treated differently, so this policy separates them.
If you sign in to Playmaker
You are a seller. Anyone can sign up; there is no invitation list and no approved-domain list standing in front of the door. What we require instead is that you prove you can read mail at the address you gave us, because an account carries a free credit and an unconfirmed address is somebody else’s name to claim.
There are two ways in. A one-time code sent to your email address, in which case we store that address and nothing else about you. Or Google, in which case Google tells us your email address, your name, and your profile picture, and we store the first two. We never see or receive your Google password, and we ask Google for no access to your Gmail, Drive, calendar, contacts, or anything else in your account.
We also store the sheets you create: the prospect company name, its industry, and its website address.
If someone sent you a Playmaker link
You are a recipient, and you did not sign up for anything. Here is exactly what happens when you open the page.
Your reading is recorded and the sender can see it. That is the point of the product and you should know it. We record which sections you opened, which elements you interacted with, and when. If the link you were sent was addressed to you personally, those actions are attributed to your name.
If the sender added you as a named recipient, we hold the name, role, and email address they entered for you. We did not get that from you and we do not verify it. It is what the sender typed.
We also store two random identifiers generated in your browser:
pm_session, which lives in session storage and is discarded when you close the tab. It joins your actions into one visit.pm_device, which lives in local storage and persists. It is how a return visit next week is recognized as the same browser rather than a new person.
Both are random values with nothing derived from you in them. Clearing your browser storage for this site erases both, and the next visit starts fresh.
What we do not collect
These are deliberate design decisions, not omissions:
- No IP addresses. The endpoint that receives reading activity does not read or store the visitor's IP address.
- No advertising or third-party analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no session-replay tool on any page. Nothing you do here is sold, shared with data brokers, or used to target advertising anywhere.
- No tracking cookies. The only cookie set is the one that keeps a signed-in seller signed in. Recipients are not given a cookie.
- No cross-site tracking. The identifiers above are readable only by this site and tell us nothing about anywhere else you go.
Why we hold it
Seller information exists to run your account and attribute the sheets you create. Recipient information exists to produce the engagement summary the sender sees, which is the service the sender is using. We do not use any of it to build a profile of you for any other purpose, and we do not combine it with data from other sources.
Who else touches it
We use four service providers, each doing one job, none of them permitted to use your information for their own purposes:
- Google handles sign-in for sellers.
- Supabase hosts the database and the authentication service.
- Vercel hosts and serves the application.
- Anthropic processes the text used to generate a sheet's content.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside that list except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Sheets and their engagement history are kept while the account that created them is active, because a salesperson looking at a deal months later is the normal case. There is no automatic deletion schedule yet. Ask us and we will delete a specific sheet, a specific recipient, or an entire account.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Use the contact address below.
- A recipient can ask the sender, or us, to revoke their link. A revoked link stops working and stops recording.
- Clearing site data in your browser removes the two identifiers described above.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. We will honor those requests regardless of where you live.
Children
This is a business sales tool. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, the date at the top changes and the previous behavior stops. We will not apply a new use retroactively to information already collected under an older version.
